Children's Day
by
Keith Waterhouse & Willis Hall
Directed by Mark Jephcott
assisted by Linda Batson
3rd - 10th December 2011
A comedy set in the 1970s.
This play concerns a children’s party and takes place in the Kitchen of Emma's house in Hampstead. The Party which is heard but not seen, provides a backdrop for a serious set of adult crises and the effect those jollifications have on the lives of two couples; Robin and Emma, and Peter and Polly.
Robin has left Emma and Emma is friendly with her solicitor Tom. When both Tom and Robin turn up for the party the mishaps of the party spill over into the kitchen. Can everyone reconcile their differences in an adult fashion?
