Deep Blue Sea
by
Terence Rattigan
Directed by Graham Boswell
Assisted by Jan Atkinson
29th January - 5th February, 2011
Hester Collyer leaves affluence and an eminent jurist husband for a shabby flat and socially downgrading affair
with Freddie Page, an RAF hero unmoored in postwar Britain.
The obsession leads Hester to attempted suicide. Sir William, her eminent husband, still loves her and wants her back,
yet, tight-buttoned upper-crust Englishman that he is, can offer only his touching but trammeled love.
